Dear Oakley Parents and Guardians

This morning we walked up to Chapel in glorious sunshine as the whole of Oakley came together for their final Holy Communion service of the year. It seemed a fitting start to the last day of lessons for the Upper Sixth and Fifth Form as they embark on their study leave later today.

Although study leave will bring with it the inevitable stress of final examinations, we have marked the occasion with a few treats. House breakfast was well received earlier in the week:

Just before the start of the IB2 exams last week, I delivered the Leavers’ Assembly for the Upper Sixth. It was a real celebration of 15 diverse students, some who joined us in the Lower Sixth, just 20 months ago, and others who have been in Oakley for the full 5 years. Nikki, Sai-Nam, Kalash, Ashlina and Ibukun joined the School before that so this marks for some the near-end of 8 years at Bromsgrove. We took them out for a special Leavers’ Meal to mark the occasion:
